Pours a black no real light showing through this one at night anyway. Nice thumb sized dark tan head falls slow and laces well.
Aroma is good roasted notes, manly chocolate with some light dark fruit, even lighter vanilla notes. Some light hops in the finish but overall not very complex for a big stout.
Taste mirrors the nose mostly just roasted notes and chocolate, no real fruit notes maybe hints of coffee and light vanilla. Overall just kind of boring fro a big stout not complex enough really. Finish is pretty dry with a light hop tingle.
Mouthfeel is big medium, carbonation is smooth.
Overall think they could invested some time into a good recipe for a beer to represent a good cause, but guess they were in a hurry.
