We used Columbus, Tomahawk, and Zeus for first wort; Amarillo, Cascade, and Perle with 15 minutes left in the boil, and again at 5 min left; and then dry-hopped with Amarillo and Cascade after four days in the fermenter.

Hop project 24, given to us by a friend a few weeks ago.

Bottled the first week of December 2009.

A hazy copper, small white head, no lacing.

S malty, vanilla, most of the hoppiness is gone now, light citrusy grapefruit.

T malt forward with a slight bitterness and crisp finish, the aftertaste is mild with hops and bananas.

M smooth, light carbonation, thin.

O great, probably shouldn't have waited so long to drink it but it is delicious. I could drink it frequently if I had anymore...

The pour was very nice. Deep amber in color with a nice clarity to it. A big head of white coming up and over the top and settling down with a good amount of side glass lacing. Big aroma of fresh hops on this one. Just a huge nose of grapefruit, pineapple and hints of orange peel. Deep and resionous, almost sticky just in the aroma. As the first sip hits, not as sharp and pungent as the aroma, but seriously this was a good IPA. Nice and tight with the fresh hops letting your lips stick to your teeth. Lots of pineapple and grapefruit leading the way but fading into a nice mid palate of buttery malts. Nice medium feel and an easy, very smooth sessionability.

Very nice looking beer poured into a Yazoo imperial shaped pint glass (though not as big as an actual imperial pint glass). This beer pours a pale amber color, definitely not a pale India Pale Ale. Slightly hazy. The head that formed was a thick, rich tan color.

The aroma is very nice on this beer but not as great as some of the other Hop Projects I've had. Some citrus. Definitely grapefruit and maybe a little lemon. On top of that some hints of malty, caramel sweetness to provide just a bit of balance. Nice Awesome aroma.

Nice taste profile -- very balanced. Good malt that comes out well in the flavor. I do get a bit of dankness in the flavor that wasn't there in the aroma. Very nice, straightforward IPA.

Good beer. Very nice solid mouthfeel and fairly easy to drink. Not as great as #19, but quite good.
