16 ounce pint - $5.00 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a very dark brown body with a quickly, ceaselessly thinning head.
Smell: A dark maltiness flush with no-frills black coffee with lesser, lighter accents of cola, dark caramel.
Taste: Dark malts with some low-grade coffee-hinting roasted malt astringency, bitterish dark chocolate and dark caramel. Lightly bitter, lightly astringent. Slowly drying with a lightly astringent finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It's a Yazoo. Every couple of years I give 'em a go and they are consistent in delivering a mediocre, mostly okay yet instantly forgettable beer.

Cask. Brewed by Oakham Ales Brewery (UK) under Linus Hall supervision for a 'Spoons Beer Fest'. 5.5%ABV.
Sparkler used. Almost black with a thick, light tan, dense head. Rings of lacing present.
A mild melanoidin smell of toasted bread.
A sweet flavour reminiscent of it's bouquet. Some light earthy hops noted.
Nice and smooth with a light carbonation and a moderate body.
Cask dispensation appears to have done this one a world of good.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little porter pours a dark
brownish black with a very nice head of kahki foam that fades to a
thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some light lacing. Nose of
dark chocolate, char, roast, earthy malts, and herbal hop notes.
Flavors surpass the nose with light herbal hops balancing out the
chocolate, char, roast, faint smoke, and caramel notes. Earthy malts
appear more with warmth as does some light berry notes.
Mouth feel is medium leaning on the watery side, light carbonation,
and a nicely balanced roast and hop touched finish.
Overall, a solid little porter
Cheers

Tennessee brewers need to go to some other states and figure it out .. I'm in nashville and want badly to be proud of our beers but they just aren't good .. Ok at best , almost like it's artificially flavored .

12oz can PKGD 10/25/21 poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp, no ABV listed on can. The beer pours dense dark brown with light tan colored head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a few spots of lacing. The aroma is mild with bittersweet chocolate. The taste is more bittersweet chocolate, slight char and a hint of earthy hop flavor on the mildly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good to very good basic oatmeal stout.
