Stout is one of those beers that has many variations. Most beer drinkers who say “I don’t like stout beer” don’t realize that there are dry stouts, milk stouts, export stouts, imperial stouts and “oatmeal” stouts. Stouts have always been recognized as being good for you (as all beers are) but with oatmeal added, watch out! The oatmeal adds texture, creaminess and all that fiber we all need for various reasons.

Tasted on-tap 04/17/07 at Boscos in Little Rock, AR.

Dark brown to black in color with a low light brown head. Nice roasted malt aromas and flavors with a touch of coffee character. Medium-full bodied and smooth with a nice dry roasty finish.

An nice Oatmeal Stout that would be great on nitro...

Very dark brown-black color. Light roasty aromas. This one is an immediate hit with me. Its richness really balances the creaminess and the slight initial sweetness. Loads of caramel malt is evident. Great smooth roasted maltiness. Not overpowering and very sippable. OG 1070

Tasted November 2003 (review from notes)

Excellent opaque black color and creamy tan head. Deep roasted aroma. Snooth, balanced and damn delicious. Pleasantly bitter/roasted aftertaste. A very well made stout. Another technical masterpiece from the Little Rock crew.
