A: Pours a cloudy yellow color. A small white head forms, and recedes in a second. Light lace is left behind.
S: A wonderful musky yeast aroma up front. Big citrus and slightly tart lemon that is great. A bit of spice. Excellent.
T: Follows the nose, but not as intense. That musky/dusty yeast character is still here, but not as up front and center as the nose. Big banana esters and slightly tart as well. Very nice.
M/D: The body is just a bit thin, watery, and not as crisp as I would like. Really easy to drink though. I can drink this all day.
A very nice hefe. I noticed they have won several gold medals for this, and it is well earned. Maybe not my favorite American example, but still really enjoyable.

From notes taken at the brewpub. Color is a very hazy, lemony yellow with short head. The aroma is an expected hefe weizen fruity smell with a strong wheat undercurrent. The taste is a rounded banana-clove taste with a distinct wheat flavor in the finish. Very full-flavored and enjoyable. I found this to be very drinkable even though this is far from my favorite style.
