Opaque brown colour with a small, tan head. Fair head retention.
They describe it as Flemish but I don't get the sour notes. There is certainly some fruitiness and a touch of wood but there isn't really a tartness.
Same on the palate. Slightly dark, burnt sugar. Dark dried fruits. Touches of wood. A little bitter but where is the sour?
Medium body with moderate carbonation. Fine.
A decent tasting but disappointing beer. I came in expecting a Belgian, sour brown ale. Unfortunately, it is lacking the key feature that makes these beers so special - a bit of tartness.
