This a pale ale with a Belgium slant. Very drinkable, but not outstanding. Hops hide under the malt. With this one, the yeast is more expressive. Would not go out of my way, but if in the neighborhood ......

A: Cloudy, amber with an off-white cap that has nice lacing.
S: Mostly sweet toffee malt aroma and a light herbal, floral hop smell.
T&M: Light to medium bodied. Mostly hops. Herbal and fruity with malty sweetness that is well balanced. Dry finish with a mild bitterness.
Very drinkable. I tried their Summer Ale, this Pale Ale and the ESB. All were above average and I almost took home a growler of the Summer. Very good for a small local and I hope they continue to expand and reinvent their brews!

2-3 oz. sample served in a pint glass.
Pours a rich amber hue with a thick off-white cap that shows great retention, clinging heavily to the glass.
Nose is mostly of sweet toffeeish malt aroma and a light herbal, floral hop fragrance.
Light in body, with a restrained level of carbonation. On the tongue, herbal hops lay over a base of slightly sweet caramel malt and lightly-toasted biscuit, finishing rather dry with a lingering herbal bitterness.
Judging by the sample, this brew seems pretty drinkable, and with its restrained hop character, carbonation and mostly malt-forward flavor profile, it is a fairly decent interpretation of an English pale ale.
