"Double Lagered", the label proudly proclaims. It also says "Teknigi ile uretilmistir", bit I'm not entirely sure what that might mean. Brown, chubby 50cl bottle, with a red and gold swooping motif on the label.
Bottle is embossed twice with "double lagered", so they're obviously pushing this as a big selling point.
Pours a pale yellow-gold colour, with a very nice fine-bubbled cushion of white head. Lots of tiny carbonation bubbles stream to the surface. Head retention is excellent, as is the lacing. This is actually an extremely good looking lager.
Pretty weak on the nose - slightly nutty, slightly yeasty aroma, with a good whack of sweaty armpits or wet leather. Not great.
Taste is a bit better, actually. Still that nuttiness, but without the odiferous edge that was there on the nose. Metallic zing of hops is subdued, but still present. Mouthfeel is slight and smooth - very nice.
It's a very smooth beer, this one. It has character beyond a pale lager, and it ends up working out pretty well. A better bet than the ubiquitous Efes, as far as I'm concerned. The ad for it in the cinema was amusing too...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
