Deep amber in color with a pronounced malty sweetness, hints of caramel and a generous addition of earthy flavored East Kent Goldings hops.

Served in a glass at the brewery/restaurant. A deep golden color. Not much headbwhen served, but Lacey. Mild aroma. Very nice rich flavor not too sharp. Available only in growlers. Would love to have been able to take home a six.

On tap at the brewery.
Slightly hazy golden body with a very durable head that leaves sheets of lacing.
The aroma is about at malty/breads as hoppy, but there' plenty of hop flavor.

Feel: Medium body and carbonation.

Overall: solid, slightly Americanized, "English IPA"

Well it poured a very clear, I mean crystal clear golden amber with a small white head that quickly faded leaving behind very minimal film on the top. A slight glass layer of lace streaked down as I sipped but this was again very slight and not particularly noteworthy. Lots of visible carbonation was evident in the many streams of bubbles coming up from the bottom throughout the entire session.

The smell was definatly hoppy, but somewhat muted or watered down. Definate citrus notes could be detected, light orange and tangerice, maybe a bit of grapefruit with a touch of sugar sweetness in the back. Again though it just did not seem like a full aroma, something was lacking. First impression of the taste was the same. Somewhat thin, light IPA, hey maybe this is a light IPA? Anyway, very smooth light feel, decent carbonation with a little bit of a thinness to it. Nice bitter finish, but it just lacked that punch to put it over the top. Nothing really evident, profile wise other then the citrus hops, perhaps a bit of sugar, but just a standard fair light IPA.

Overall I wouldnt say that my feelings were justified in avoiding this, howver it is rather forgettable. I mean it is better then your standard macro, and is totally sessionable, however so are alot of other brews that have a much fuller and more balance flavor. Ehh give it a shot if its around, you could do worse.
