Draught @ Brewery: This one pours a very dark brown color. It had an extremely small tan head, which left only a small amount of lacing. The aroma was fairly weak. What I could pull out of it was a bit of chocolate malt and roastiness. The taste was a bit more pronounced than the nose. It was smooth and and rounded. Notes of chocolate, caramel and roastiness. Actually leans toward a stout. Very drinkable.

I tried this beer a few weeks ago and was not impressed. Decided to wait and try it again before I reviewed it. So I went back and still was not impressed. The beer looks like flat Coke. There was no head and there was never any lace on the edges of the glass. The taste has hints of caramel and chocalte, a bit malty. But there is no finish to the taste. It's almost like I never actually tasted it. The carbonation also left the beer pretty flat. However, it was nice that the alcohol taste was barely noticeable. That was a nice break after some of the beers I've tried lately.
