Described as an 'Unfined smoked rye beer' on the clip in the Feathers, a Nicholsons pub in SW1.
I've entered the style as 'Rausch' as this was the nearest to describe it in my opinion!
It appears from the label that this beer is brewed for the Nicholsons chain of pubs!
Served on cask into a half pint UK glass to a copper - amber - russet colour with a fluffy white head.
Nutty, very mildly smoked, dried fruit aroma.
Quite a sweet malty flavour with background smoke and rye flavours leading to a bitter aftertaste.
Thinnish body.
Overall - something different and I'd probably choose this again, but not filed as a 'must return to' - depends what else is on!
