Kiev 7/10 2018. 50 cl on draft on Pesto Café. Served in a gigantic Hoegarden Glass for some obscure reason.
Pours clear yellow with small white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of fragmented foam. No lacing.
Aroma is malty sweet and rather bready. Light saltiness.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery and lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers shortly.
Immensely unremarkable.

Light golden color with a nice, white head. The aroma is malty and grain. The taste is lightly malty, with light bitterness A typical lager with very little character.

Bottle from Mix Markt in Kaiserslautern. Pale lager, typical. Not much else to say, bland and tasteless, no aroma. Watery mouthfeel, American macro brew style.

My shift partner went home to the Ukraine for a vacation and brought me back a bottle of this. It brought back memories... not of the Ukraine, as I have never been there, but of my childhood. I swear, this tastes a lot like my memories of the Kruegar my father used to drink.
Appearance: Pours a nice warm gold with a thin head. A very attractive beer.
Smell: Slight hops aroma, slight sweet malty smell
Taste: Slightly bitter, slight malt, slight citrus.
Mouthfeel: A bit thin, but not too bad
Drinkability: I could see this as a decent session beer on a warm day.

500 ml bottle purchased in Lviv
Deep golden colour with soft white head, which dissipates rather quickly. Some thin lacing.
Aroma is malty and yeast can be felt. Taste is mild bittery, some hints of lemon, but overall quite plain. Pleasant bittery and slightly warming aftertaste. Mouthfeel is between thin and medium with above average carbonation, it feels prickly.
Overall, nice lager, but I would not call exactly premium.

Purchased in Kiev, this brew comes in a tall brown half liter bottle with a pleasant gold, white and red label devoting a lot of attention to Ukraines bid to host the Olympics. All the info is in Ukrainian. Ingredients include sugar and ascorbic acid. Best before 4/14/04, I opened it on 2/2/04.
Pours a clear but bubbly medium gold under a thin off-white head with big bubbles and little retention. The nose is very mild, with a touch of malt and a hint of rusty metal. The mouth is quite prickly and light. The taste features a strong, slightly metallic, but quite pleasantly crisp hoppy bitterness throughout, accompanied at first by mild sweet malt, then blossoming to a nice sharp finish. The aftertaste has lingering bitter, but is a bit watery. A drinkable brew, but it could be a lot better.
