Au Brasseur “Blonde Des Bateliers”
€3,50/,25cl on tap at the brewery on 19 September 2021
Look: Cloudy golden-orange body beneath a short head of bright white foam. The head drops readily but still leaves very good lacing behind.
Smell: Yeasty, fruity, malty, and spicy with a touch of sulphur.
Taste: Fruity, bready, malty, spicy, woody, and clove-like. Nicely balanced by a median bitterness. Long lingering finish with fading malt, spice, and dull bitterness.
Feel: Medium bodied and zesty with a standard, fine-bubbled carbonation.
Overall: A curious but basic blonde ale.
