Copenhagen 6/8 2024. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Nordens Plads, Frb. F. As ΒΕΡΓΙΝΑ Black Unfiltered. Black label with a golden Lion.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized, dense off-white head. Stable. Settles as tin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet and malty odor mingling with a stronger earthy scent with a touch of bitter dark chocolate. Toffee and caramel. Coffee grounds and leather.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a rather strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Decent Greek Schwarzbier.

A great schwarzbier with a lot of coffee, nice carbonation and very easy and pleasant to drink.

L: Murky deep brown color, two finger light brown head, nice lacing, no visible carbonation.
S: Chocolate.
