Obtained and drank while on the wonderful holiday island of Skiathos, May 2009.
Brown 50cl bottle, best before 28 Oct 2009, poured into two tumblers on my Studio balcony.
Looked right, cloudy, moody, murky and that off-yellowy brown body the true German weissbiers have. No head, just a wispy white collar around the glass.
Smell was almost right too, lots of vanilla, but very little banana or toffee apples.
The taste let it down however, weak flavours. Lively and spritzy, but lacked umph.
Not unpleasant, it just came across as a poorly constructed supermarket beer designed to con German holiday makers into buying a Greek Weissbier with a German sounding name.
