Bought in its home town, this brew comes in a standard brown half liter bottle with a metallic copper and gold label featuring just the name and the brewery's symbol. Ingredients include rice and sugar. Best before 2/18/05, I opened it on 1/26/05.
Pours a slightly reddish gold under a one finger white head that settles quickly to thick film, then lingers long, leaving a few spots of lace. A slightly vegetable malt note distinguishes the nose, with a touch of metallic hops in the background. The mouth is light and prickly. There's a slightly sour cherry impression to the taste, folded into the bready malt. Some metallic hops can be coaxed out of the finish, which is largely malt and cherry. A touch of bitterness emerges in the aftertaste. This one is not bad, but not good either.
