This beer is now called 'Tangerine Hefe' or it is a different beer than I had 2 1/2 years ago. As I remember the flavor was sweeter and better than the other citrus flavors, I've come to expect in Hefeweizens.

Taster at Ice Harbor Marina. Cloudy golden, barely there head. Light citrusy orange leads into a burst of tangerine in the taste. Some weizen yeasty, banana notes come in late.

Poured from a bottle into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a hazy, medium straw amber with a thin, patchy head. Nice aroma of wheat and tangerine; citrus is lightly done and interesting. Flavor is bready wheat, light tangerine, a hint of lemon citrus and clove. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. A pleasant domestic hefeweizen with a light tangerine taste that works nicely with this style. The tangerine is not overdone, but is a bold enough flavor in and of itself that it may cover some of the milder hefeweizen flavors. As a classic hefeweizen, maybe the tangerine is not a perfect choice, but for a nicely refreshing and off beat wheat ale in the style, this is quite nice. Better than I expected.

The "Tange" can be hit or miss, the flavor is not as citrusy as the name suggests, rather it's more of an orange peel flavor. Occasionally the orange feel is overdone making the Tange taste "soapy". As a result I suggest getting a taster before you order a pint (or mug if you're a member).

Very yeasty unfiltered wheat beer. Cloudy golden color, with a finger of eggshell colored head with persistent foam, leaves a nice lace on the glass.
Flavor is crisp and refreshing, lovely beer for a hot Tri-Citian summer day. Floral notes, citrus notes, and heavy citrus peel notes. Can taste very bread-y if you let it warm up. While it is decently fizzy, the yeastiness softens the mouthfeel a bit.

Always available on Tap, and in bottles, occasionally available in a pig, if you REALLY want it, you can have them fill a pig for you at the brewpub, have a beer while you wait.

Attractive cloudy amber with a modest but persistent foam. Sharp and spritzy in the mouth. Fairly light bodied. Great citrus aroma, with some lime to go with the tangerine. An oily tang in the nose.

Really a pleasant fruit taste, though rather bold. The Hefeweizen flavors are quite well-balanced. Wheaty and a little sweet with just a touch a banana. Bitter aftertaste like citrus rind. It gets a little hot after some sipping.

One of the better flavored wheat brews I've had lately. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at the Metropolitan Market in Kirkland, WA.

12 oz. bottle purchased at brewery, consumed 2.15.10 poured into unchilled pint glass.

One finger white head over clear reddish amber body, real quick dissipation with almost non-existent lacing. Huge fruity nose blocks out whatever hops may be present, somewhat balanced by bready malts. The taste is too sweet, almost bitter, must have thrown the peels into the boil. Mouthfeel is full and fruity, not much carbonation. Pretty drinkable, if you like cloyingly sweet beers. Pass.

Thanks to JackCrow for hooking me up!

Poured a cloudy deep yellow, almost orange with great carbonation leaving a nice white head. Nose is light tangerine and wheat. Taste is very close to the nose, wheat flavor with tangerine light and very good. Mouthfeel is nice and crisp. Drinkability, for me, is outstanding! It was light on tangerine, not overdone, ABV was perfect and it was smooth, tasty and crisp.

Stopped by the local brewery to try this.

Pours a cloudy orange. Develops a thin white head that hangs around but is not very strong. Has a collar with a decent laciness. Nose is fruity but on the tart side, definetly tangerine. Taste is fruity, also tart but I thought it was more like grapefruit than tangerine. Maybe I just don't know my fruits. The finish has a lot of wheat in it. Smooth texture, feels light on the tongue. Not being a large fan on fruity beers, this one is especially hard to recommend as a session beer. Overall I did not think this was a terrible beer, but it did not fit my taste buds.
