Bought this beer in a can at the brewery in Sept. 2023. I believe it was about 8 weeks before I drank it. Typical Hefeweizen, nothing special.

On tap at the marina. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a cloudy yellow color. Small wispy white head.
Smell is a faint fruit aroma. Not as sweet or strong an aythentic German hefe.
Taste is a citrus dominated flavor. Not much banana. There is some clove and spice flavor, but it tastes artificial and forced.
Mouthfeel is crisp and clan. There is a zesty feels, and the beer is well carbonated.
Drinkable and a little unusual. It's not a great hefe and not an American wheat ale either. I think it falls somewhere in between.

I sampled this beer at the Ice Harbor pub in Kennewick, WA with imacoug.
A: It poured a hazy washed out yellow (almost a bleached lemon color) with an abundant bone-white head that supported a curtain of lacing long into the drink.
S: It had a characteristic aroma of white fruit and light spices but lacked a rich malty and yeasty aroma that I expected.
T: despite the appearance and aroma the taste was closer to the anticipated hefeweizen experience I am all too familiar with. There was a strong presence of white fruit including bananas, pears and apples, as well as lemons. It also exhibited flavors of clove and white pepper. However, there was an unexpected sour back to the beer that left a somewhat unpleasant sour aftertaste.
M: Light, watery body with a sweet fruity front and sour back.
D: If I were to drink a hefe long into the night I would want to go there with a more representative example of that style of beer. The Ice Harbor variation is just shy of the mark!

Ice Harbors main wheat beer is flavored with tangerines. This summer seasonal emulates the traditional German style and is a good all around hefe not a major league player, but very serviceable. The stormy, gray-orange body is entirely opaque and lacks ornament. But the flavor is peppery, spicy, and targeted, with good essence of clove. Nice casual drinking.
