I was poured a pint (iced mug) drawn from a keg at the Brickhouse Pizza Parlor in West Richland, Washington.
A: It was a fresh strawberry blond with a two finger bone white sticky head. The head lingered well into the pour and produced an abundant curtain down the side of the glass.
S: I detected a noticeable hoppy aroma that was quickly overtaken by a light citrus smell.
T: There was a noticeable flavor of light toasted malts combined with diluted lemon, earthy clover, and the zest of moderately active carbonation. There was a decent balance between the malts and hops with the hops winning out in the end.
M: It had a light mouth feel with a sweet and smooth front end followed by a sour to almost slightly bitter back end. There was a modestly sour aftertaste but mostly the end of each sip was marked by a dryness resulting from the alcohol and hops.
D: Very drinkable session beer. It accompanied my pizza well but not as well as the Full Sail Pale Ale that we also consumed during our time at the Pizza Parlor. It is a refreshingly light ale with a noticeable but not distressing sour aftertaste. It is thin and has an unremarkable aroma.
