Name: Dust Cloud
Brewery: Ice Harbor Brewery
Location: Kennewick WA
Style: Hazy IPA
ABV: 6.7%
Canned: 14 April 2026
Date: 18 May 2026
Initial Impression:
Another beer from Ice Harbor Brewing Company. The first two beers I tried were split right down the middle—one solid, one forgettable—so I was hoping this one would tip the scales in the right direction. Seeing Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra on the hop bill definitely gave me hope.
Appearance:
Served at 46°F in a tulip glass. The pour created an airy, frothy white head about a finger and a half thick with above-average retention. Slow dissipation left a healthy amount of lacing behind. The beer pours pale amber with light golden hues (SRM ~8), slightly hazy and visually appealing for the style.
Aroma:
Hop-forward with a supportive malt backbone. Tangerine rind, mango, lychee, peach, passion fruit, and elderflower lead the nose, layered with grassy, earthy, and light pine resin notes. There’s a soft tropical brightness throughout that keeps the aroma lively without becoming overly sweet.
The malt profile contributes breadiness, light toast, gentle sweetness, and a touch of biscuit, helping frame the hop expression without pulling focus.
Flavor:
Balanced with a firmer backbone than expected. The hop profile is expressive and layered—orange rind, lemon, grapefruit, honeysuckle, pine resin, eucalyptus, mint, grass, jasmine, mango, peach, guava, passion fruit, and subtle earthiness all show up throughout the palate.
The malt character stays restrained but important, bringing light toast, bread crust, and subtle sweetness that keep the beer from becoming hop-saturated. The balance between citrus brightness, tropical fruit, and herbal bitterness works particularly well here.
Mouthfeel:
Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Slightly astringent with a crisp, tannic finish typical of a hop-forward IPA. At times, the body thins out and comes across a touch aqueous, which slightly undercuts the otherwise solid structure.
Overall Impression:
Dust Cloud is easily the best IPA I’ve had from Ice Harbor so far. The hop profile is vibrant, layered, and well-balanced without becoming overwhelming. My biggest issue is the body—it occasionally feels a little too thin for the intensity of the hop character—but the beer still holds together surprisingly well.
Overall, this is a genuinely enjoyable hazy IPA and one I’d gladly revisit. Solidly in the “B” range for me, with a hop profile strong enough to keep me interested from first sip to last.

Had this beer as part of a flight in September 2023 at the brewery. Another beer I don't really remember though I gave it a decent score.
