Growler filled at the Clover Island Brewpub. Poured in to a pint glass.
Pours a shiny copper/gold color and clear. Small average looking bubbly white head, is not particularly resilient.
Smell is faint and unremarkable. Bit of a wet grain aroma with some faint citrus notes.
Taste is also malt dominated. A dry bitter cereal flavor with a grass flavor on the finish. Mild and short-lived bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is crisp and clean with good carbonation.
Overall kind of an average pale ale. Ice Harbor has better beer than this. I'd have the Harvest Pale or Runaway Red over this one any day.
NOTE: Brewed in some sort of collaboration with Mid Columbia Zymurgy Association. Zymurgy is the branch of chemistry that deals with fermentation processes.
