Comes in a standard brown half-liter bottle with an attractive orange and brown label featuring two bears on hind legs facing each other. The cap is covered by paper secured to the bottle by string and a wax seal. Ingredients? The big three are all here: corn, rice and sugar. Best before 3/11/04, I opened it on 2/22/04.
Pours a bubbly tea-colored rust under an almost non-existent set of big bubbles that don't earn the right to be called a head. They fade quickly anyway. The nose is a combination of metallic hops and bad watermelon. The mouth is light and very prickly. The flavor consists of mild sour watermelon combined with a lot of metallic hops. There's a hint of sweet fruit in there somewhere, but the finish is all harsh hops. Some of the watermelon comes back in the aftertaste. While infinitely better than its "light" cousin, this beer is by no means good.
