Sampled on tap at the Thirsty Bear pub during the 2004 Strong Ale Month.
Aroma is soft and corny with DMS followed with spices and a large brown malt with a touch of acid.
Flavors becomes short and sweet before a large rusted red apple and dry cinnamon. A strong medicinal phenol becomes more apparent in the aroma and flavor. It startles the palate and tickles the nose, tighten up and pinch just a little.
The beer is actually ok until this final note takes hold and refuses to let go. It's a shame really.
