16.9 oz bottle date code L3173 into a chalice.
L: SRM 3.5 pours 99% clear peach colored gold with a thin white head that instantly recedes to edge foam, steady carbo, no lacing.
S: A suggestion of grains, almost non-expressive.
T: Lightly sweet grains and malts, honey flower, peach, a suggestion of fruit bread, a hint of pastry dough, pear, orchard fruits, light zest in the finish and aftertaste. Malt forward then fruity at the end.
F: Clean drinking medium to med-light bodied feel with a smooth center and a gently dry medium length finish.
O: Lovely tasting and agreeable with an elegant feel. Not as sweet as many in this style can be. Malty with grain notes, a sweet halo, and a fruity finish that is mildly dry. Easy to drink at 6.9%. It is excellent in its style.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, deep yellow/golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 8. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of pale and earthy Munich malts. bread notes. Smooth honey and flower. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of pale and earthy Munich malt, honey and flower. Smooth and lightly sweet. (4.00)
Feel: Medium body, appropriate carbonation. Finish is smooth, mildly sweet. Clean and drinakble. (4.25)
Overall:
First try at this Maibock from Andechs. Beautiful pour. Nice balance of German malt and honeyflower on the aroma. The flavor is earthy and pale Munich malt balanced by honey flower. It's sweet, but not overly so. Incredibly drinkable and smooth. Not a big fan of the Maibock style, but this is the best I've had. Often they are overly sweet and cloying but this packs enough flavor outside of the honey to appreciate the Munich malt flavors. Best of the style I've had. (Rating: 4.08)

Apparently fresh, into a 0.5L Paulaner mug.
Pours a clear gold with plenty of bubbles, low head that sits on top of the pour. Aroma is sourdough bread and honey, some spicy hops. Flavor is rich honey and biscuits, with vague hop bitterness and a lot of sweetness. The higher alcohol really adds to the sweetness, but there's a little bitter hit to balance out the heavy malt flavors. Overall, it's pretty rich and sweet, but in a more moderate way opposed to something like a doppelbock. There's a good hay/fresh cut grass flavor as well. Feel is good, quite bright, and the body is higher, as befitting a higher gravity lager.
Not my favorite interpretation of the style but it does it well enough. Overall a decent heavier lager.

Bottled 12/7/25; drank 4/21/25 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale yellow appearance; champagne bubbles throughout the session.
A rough pour yielded a small, noisy white head; nice lacing remained.
Corn & honey notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Corn & honey flavors; faint booze heat emerged as this warmed.
A simple, effective maibock.

500ml bottle. Date code on label is 'L3173.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Little bit of foam over upon opening. One thin finger of white head, and this morphs into an active surface storm. Minimal lacing left behind.
Aroma of freshly baked bread, and some floral hops.
Taste has a strong malt base, which has a flavor resemblance to white bread crust. Hops bring spice, a floral aspect, and a bit of citrus. Balanced towards an overall sweet note. All continue in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel, with some stickiness but with a clean finish. Active carbonation with rising bubbles and a lively surface.
Robust flavors with an attractive sweetness.

500ml bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee and caramel. Sweet toffee, caramel, roasted malt and a mild bitterness.
