The beer pours out into a Duvel glass a clear bright golden color with a 1/2” white head that recedes fairly quickly but persists as a thin layer on the surface with a reasonably nice ring around the glass. Sipping leaves small patches and a few legs. of lacing.

The aroma is lightly malty and faintly hoppy with some grainy character.

The flavors are light, mostly from the malt and grain but with a touch of hop floating around back there. There seems to be a hint of corn.

The mouthfeel is light bodied with a refreshingly crisp feel from the lightly prickly carbonation. The finish is medium long and ends in some dry light bitterness.

Overall this is a respectable beer for the style with well balanced flavor that would be refreshing on a hot summer’s day. Its not one I expect to be drinking again, but I can understand why some might enjoy it and I might not choose it over something else, I certainly would not turn it down on a hot summer day.

Appearance:  In the Antilles, poolside, straight from the 355ml green glass bottle. Date stamp was one month away from time of consumption. Label was primarily in Spanish but also had some English wording. After popping the cap, the beer was steady for about 60 seconds but then unexpectedly started frothing towards the top despite not being shaken or otherwise disturbed.

Aroma and Taste:  Typical skunky pilsner that would be expected from a green bottle beer close to the equator. Not nearly as bad as a clear bottle beer though.

Feel:  Good carbonation. Thin.

Overall:   No surprises. Standard underwhelming Caribbean lager.

Look - 12 oz bottle, poured into a 5 oz tasting glass. straw yellow in color, clear with lots of bubbles, and a sizable head that mostly dissipates, with some lacing retention that remains for quite some time. note that bottle was brewed in the US (St. Louis, MO, presumably by InBev)

Smell - malts with some corn sweetness. otherwise not much.

Taste - light, crisp malts accompanied by a tad bit of sweetness and little to no hop presence. finish is clean and lightly sweet.

Feel - light bodied, above average carbonation, standard in ABV at 5%.

Overall - as average as an adjunct lager gets, though not bad given the lack of a bad aftertaste. Maybe the original brewed in the DR tastes better, but the American version tastes like just another InBev adjunct product.

Aroma is Euro-style malts/lager yeast and a hint of spicy hops. The flavor is mild/medium sweetness and a slightly bitter/spicy hop/mostly smooth finish.

I don't know what to say other than wow, color me surprised. Thought it was going to taste like piss. Instead, tastes like the type of beer that you're putting down at the club and it tastes good no matter whether you're on 1 or 7. Didn't expect to like it this much. It's just really smooth and has lots of drinkability. What a beer.

12 FL. OZ. green bottle
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours a brilliant golden hue and is topped with a couple inches of off-white head that leaves nice lacing.

It has a bit of a sweet smell. I get some grain and creamed corn with hints of skunk.

Sweeter, malty taste upfront. I get a bit of minerally bitterness in the finish. Hints of skunk

Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel

Better than I thought it would be.

Not a bad looking adjunct lager, semi-thick head, but it doesn't last long, but it does leave some good lacing around the glass. The body is crystal clear, light golden color and well, just nice to look at.

The aroma is a bit lacking, mildly sweet over all but nothing else is detected.
Taste is sweet overall, I can't really taste anything other than some mild hops, but it is very crisp and refreshing.

Pale yellow color , a decent white head. The aroma of malt, hay ,and cardboard. Simply malty taste with light grassy notes. Light body , medium carbonation. Boring, but good for the Caribbean climate ).

Served in a bottle at La castenita Mexican grill within the freshness dating, into plastic cup. Pours crystal clear golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, soapy lacing down the glass, some streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, grain, herbal, grass, pepper, and skunk character. Taste of cracker, grain, wood, herbal, floral, grass, peppercorn, light pine/skunk earthiness. Medium pine, herbal, woody bitter finish. Medium plus carb and light med body. Crisp clean refreshing and nearly bone dry finish. Clean lager flavors, not too fruity. Balanced grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Light resins with no astringency. Not a bad beer but it would have probably been better without the green glass. Otherwise just a typical pilsner, but Dominican.

Out of a 25 oz can into an oversized mug. Presidente is well carbonated, balanced between sweet and hoppy, well carbonated, and fresh tasting. You HAVE to drink this from cans. NEVER from a green bottle.
