This beer comes cold in an english pint glass and is apparently a rotating offering as the server told me when they kick this one they will finally bring in the porter. YEA!
The beer has a large frothy, beige head on arrival and is a clear copper color.
Faint aroma but I get mild, piney hop scents and a faint hit of caramel.
First sip reveals a medium bodied brew with average carbonation. Much more flavor here than the brewnette I just finished. Piney hop flavors rush at me from the start, a bit of caramel in the middlealso mixes with a bit of a roasted malt flavor and then is overtaken by the piney hops on the finish. THe hop flavor leaves a lingering presence on the sides of my tongue and asks me to take another sip. This is easily the best beer I have had at SBC!
