Had this brew today with fellow BA Stopper. Poured into an english pint glass at a fairly cold temperature.
The beer exhibits a clear bright orange color with a light creamy white head on the surface. Aroma is light sweet fruit and some caramel, overall a little mild and no hint of alcohol. A biscuity yeast scent is also prevelant.
First sip reveals a light to medium body with average carbonation that provides a light tingle to the mouthfell. No syrupy texture that is often present in a quad.
Flavor is a little low in the complexity department with some sugary sweetness and a bit of lemon with caramel and husky grain as well. The beer finishes with some bitterness that is probably alcohol related but not sure. The bartender told us 12% abv but I didnt taste it and would be surprised if it was that high.
A decent enough beer, but not really in the realm of quads in my opinion, more of a strong pale ale??

very light carrot-orange color, lots of carbonation struggling through a syrupy body. lots of bubbles captured on the beer's surface, but no head to speak of. thin, weblike lacing. stray peppery yeast particles reside at the bottom of the (pint) glass.
smell is big on a blonde-ale caramel and active yeast, smelling this beer evokes the fermentation smell of a brewery tour.
flavor is quite messy. initial contact with my lips coupled with an overall sweet aroma is almost traditional quad... but the first sip hits you with an extremely flavor-inhibiting blast of hop bitterness. freezing cold pour doesn't help. if this was 4x fermented, where is the complexity of flavor? i'd call it a blonde imperial maibock.
warming notes: sweeter notes emerge in the taste, some strawberry. bitterness still rules the picture. bizarre.
the smell, gravity, and alcohol burn fit the style, but the freshness of flavor would suggest something different. disappointing after a somewhat anticipatory 45 minute drive to try this. interesting experiment for a local joint, failed. probably would have been much more well-recieved if they had called it something else.
