Another brewery I never had the pleasure to sample until last night and thumbs up to this as well. This Scottish ale poured a dull deep amber with a well formed and very sticky creamy-like 1/2 finger head that really never left thruout the whole pint, the chalkboard on the wall at the Pizza Plant said aromas are very smokey and peaty and man let me tell you it was spot on it was like being next a fireplace burning peat bogg it just jump out at you and really never wavered I have to say that was unique and enjoyable. This was a drier Scottich ale alot of earthiness and very smokey I am thinking quite a bit more hop used than in your traditional examples of the style, there is a light brown sugar-like sweetness but is overtaken by the earthy, woody, and smokey flavors.Very flavorful the smoky flavors kept me from drinking more than two just because it was taking away from my food flavors a bit I thought.I would say this is in the range alc% wise from -5.5%-to 6.2% it wasnt heavy and not a big malt bomb, very unique and flavorful.
