Amber brown with a small diminishing head. Mild hops aromas, with some soapiness. Very mild to taste, not much flavour but a nice bitter finish. I actually found that there was good carbonation control, not too fizzy, nice creamy mouthfeel. Overall it wasn't particuarly exciting as a beer, but certainly quite pleasant. A good quaffer.

pours a deep mahogany color, but surprising lack of any real head.
sweet malty and alcohol aromas.
alcohol is evident in the flavor, with some spiciness as well.
body felt very carbonated, almost like a sparkling cider or mead. im no expert, but i think this is a bit out of character for this type of beer. doesnt ruin by any means, but i would have expected it to be a bit smoother.
the alcohol makes its present felt again in the belly, with a nice warming sensation making this a good latenight beer. one after a late night at work before going to bed. a beer with some character and complexity, but some room for improvement as well.
