330ml bottle pourred into tulip

L - golden, clear, pours frothy thick white head

S - bit hit of tropical fruits - peach, passionfruit, rockmelon- more like an IPA. More of a whiff of dry hay then grass, as the product label suggests.

T - Interesting - pine, with grassy malts and honey, with an increasing citrus (Mandarian) sweetness. Moderate resiny bitterness towards finish, some tropical fruity flavours (mainly peach) towards the finish.

F - moderate carbonation, fuller bodied for style, slick texture, alcohol content is reasonably well hidden

O - not an overtly bitter IPA, the 'new' german hops are more fruity than the noble variety. Worth a shit

Pours amber with a fading head.
Nose shows spicy, herbal and floral hops with some grassy notes followed by some sweet biscuity malt.
Similar flavours, very herbal, grassy and spicy. Just a touch of malt underneath.

Pours a light yellow with good head and lacing.

Smell is...unique...Bit of kind of a rubbery hop when fresh. For this bottle (which has been around a bit longer) I swear I'm getting sauerkraut and pickle!

Taste is pretty well balanced- that malt versus those weird rubbery hops, and more krautiness.

Mouthfeel has definitely been dry throughout the beer's lifespan, and has a decent body.

It sound like I don't like this beer but I actually do- very unique take on an IPA which is pulled off successfully. Can't really understate this as an accomplishment- Feral have created unique flavours while making a legit IPA here. Just not quite enough to push them up to 4.25.

But I really appreciate beers like this, they are both ballsy and innovative.

Odd beer - too light in body and depth of flavour for the ABV. Almost a waste of potential. Nice and lively tho in terms of tangerines and grassy hops.

Delicious beer full of fruity and floral flavours and aromas - another outstanding beer from feral.

aroma: melon, peach and spice predominate

taste: orange peel, grapefruit, pepper, spice, orange, stonefruit, peach, apricot, melon and slight apples and sultanas.

Lots of great flavours going on and a pleasure to drink

Drank from my Mane Liquor Tulip

A - Pours a slightly hazy Golden colour with a one fingered White head that reduces quickly

S - Plenty of hop and grapefruit.

T - Up front some nice citrus notes and hoppiness. The grapefruit like flavours kick in mid palate and the finish is citrus and bitter.

M - Light to medium body, medium carbonation.

O - The German part of this confuses me. Which part is supposed to be German ? A good APA though and worth seeking out. I like the way the citrus lingers on the finish.

Slightly hazy golden colour with a nice, big, foamy white head. Good head retention.

Bright, tropical fruit aroma. Tons of interesting sharp passionfruit, lemon-lime, lemongrass and even ginger. But the aroma dies off quite quickly.

Smooth and creamy malt that gives a nice, non-caramelly base to the crisp hops. Similar hop flavours to the aromas and a moderate bitterness. Good.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Good.

A really solid beer. The concept of a German IPA suits me, I just wish there was a little more bitterness and hop flavour to smash this out of the park.

Ok this is sposed to be classed as an German IPA but I thought without that option AIPA was most appropriate with this one which bursts at the seams with rockmelon, light tangerine and lemongrass aromas,it's a crystal blonde hue with a two finger head and sporadic lacing, the mouthfeel is medium bodied with nice moderate carbonation and the tastes are rockmelon, tangerine, lemongrass and finished a dose of spicy grassy hops and overall yeah it's not bad and sessionable enough for a four pack but not something I will pine for once this limited release is over cheers.
