a pretty golden ale here thats a little generic but has a nice clean taste to it and a little more malt than a basic blonde or something, a little european character, not overly amazing or anything, but well enough executed as a summer crusher as far as i am concerned. a light german sort of maltiness, a munich thing, grainy without being malty in a sweet or long cooked sense, harvesty, more late summer than peak summer, but i like this having some character and some substance, works for me. the hops are minimal but add some balance at the end, more bitter than flavor, but mild on both counts. i like how high the carbonation is, it really has to be for me in this type of beer, and i am thankful that it is. a tough beer for me to get excited about, but this is something i know my dad would really like, a well crafted ale thats more flavorful than a lot macro lager types, and has a well refined finish. i am still yet to be overly stoked on any beers from these guys, but this was just my second, so ill keep trying. nothing to complain about here, just a bit basic overall.
