A nice brew. Mostly clear yellowish lagery type of color. Definite berry forwardness here. The beer certainly has a hefe characteristic but is overridden by the berry in terms of assessing deeper banana bread like aspects.

I got a can of this beer off a single shelf from the Tower Falls General Store in Yellowstone National Park. The beer poured a clear rose color with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had huckleberry notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp stelzerie malt base with huckleberry presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Excellent local Hefe with a distinct berry flavor. Smooth and refreshing while also being flavorful and and low IBU rating.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped 'BEST BY 9-18-21'.
Pale gold colored body, with a touch of haze. One finger of fizzy head. Leaves behind spots of lacing.
Aroma is sweet berry, countered by the wheat malt.
Taste is wheat tanginess and the berry sweetness. No ester expressions.
Medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
An okay wheat ale but lacking conviction. Good for a thirst quench.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance -The beer is served a golden amber color with a small white head. The head fades fast leaving a trAce of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma of the brew is huge of a sweet huckleberry smell mixed with a touch of wheat.
Taste- The taste begins with a little bit of wheat bread along with a good showing of sweet huckleberry. There is some creAm flavors upfront which grow stronger as the taste advances. An odd hay and grass flavor joins the cream, leaving one with a somewhat odd wheat and huckleberry taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel-The body of the brew is light with a carbonation level that was low. The thin body was great for the tastes, but a slightly higher carbonation may have been slightly better. Over all it was OK.
Overall- Ah just OK overall. It might make a good summer time brew.

the base beer for this is their normal miners gold, but it has real huckleberry juice in it they claim, which is a real montana thing. at first i thought it was just backsweetened with the juice, as this is super sugary, but that didnt make sense because there is no color from the fruit here at all. im not sure how you can add deep reddish purple juice to a pale beer and get zero color impact, but that appears to be the case here. its very sweet, but its also very summery, if you dont mind the sugar, this could have some real wide appeal, but for me it almost tastes a little cheap because of it, i know berries are sweet, but this is almost like generic fruitiness to me, not a huckleberry specific flavor profile, which is a real shame, especially if actual fruit was used in it. i wish it were drier, even one ice cold pint was tough to drink, its almost desserty. thankfully its well carbonated, and i can still taste some wheat malt and yeast esters in here from the base beer, so its not all juice, but retains some beer character. i wish this was more drinkable, but i dont hate it, especially on a hot summer afternoon, cant be too critical, and have to enjoy these huckleberry products now during the very short season. the idea here though is better than the beer...
