Tried on tap at the Local's Oktoberfest Spectapular.
Pours a pale yellow with very nice thin haze, white head that's a decent thickness, sinks to a thin crown and doesn't leave much lace. Looks nice but not fantastic.
Smell is quite sweet and slightly tangy. Fair amount of honey on there with some fresh wood, a twiggy kind of smell. Nice barnyard character, although subtle. Slight hint of bread yeast mars an otherwise excellent smell.
Taste definitely has no bread yeast which is a plus, hints of honey on there and a fair amount of sour character with some funk. In a sense tastes quite champagney in its slight acidity. Bitter finish, quite organic and funky and not a lot of hops (which I would expect). Overall a nice balance between tang and bitter.
Mouthfeel is pretty sharp and fizzy from the bubbles. Average kind of body, but mostly just bubbly. That's ok for the style but doesn't make me leap for joy.
The balance makes this quite good drinking actually, very downable indeed.
