Tried by a half pint at the Sheaf View, a nice little real ale gem at the southern outskirt of the City of Sheffield.
A: the sparkler-pour results in a thin but tight white foamy head lasting on top of low-carbonated, dark-yellow to light-golden body.
S: a rather intense, crystal-sugary maltiness precedes concentrate orange juice; the tart-sweet fruitiness gets a stinky edge of hays, a bit like Kehlam Island Brewery's Pale Rider to me. The sulphurous smell wakes after a swirl.
T: the orangey-fruity hoppiness and floral foretaste also gives out a little spicy hint... then the slightly alcoholic malts and tart, zesty bitterness take over, resulting in a really chewy texture (but with moderate-level bitterness) and bitter-fruity finish.
M&D: smooth, med-bodied, lightly fizzy, very fresh... a decently-made Blonde Bitter overall. The best part is, the more I drink it, the more bitter it gets~~
