I found this in Moscow's largest discount grocer. Standard half liter brown bottle with a brown and gold label with the word "Pivo" ("beer") surrounded by barley stalks and crowned by a few award medals. Ingredients include rice. No freshness info indicated.

Pours a standard clear gold under a thin, big bubbled 1/2 white head that pops fairly quickly, leaving just a bit of film and no lace. The nose is mild and sickly sweet, mainly of malt and without the standard harshness of the usual "Krepkoye". The mouth is light and well carbonated. The taste is milder than I expected, but is still too sickly sweet (think overripe watermelon) and simultaneously metallic harsh. The tin taste lingers longest. Not overpoweringly awful, it is actually pretty good Russian rendition of a terrible style.
