On tap at the brewpub in August 2009.
Pours a darker gold with a whitish head and a bit of lacing. Nose is not leaning toward any extreme, just a few mild bits here and there, although I suppose that is certainly typical for the style. A bit of bready sweetness alongside a small amount of light fruit. Taste is pretty similar with a bit more sweetness and some slight grain coming through. Light to medium body. Pretty decent brew.

Had this at the St Louis Microfest
I was able to sample all of the beer styles that 23rd street brought and I found them all to be quite good.
This had a medium amber color when poured. It did not provide much of a head. The aroma was light but I got a hint of citrus and pine.
This was lighter and more crisp than the other beers but still had some hoppiness to it. Very easy to drink.

Pours a fairly clear dark amber color and was presented to me with no head. However, as I drank it left some nice lacing down the sides of the glass.
The aroma is just fine. Some sweet pale malts, fruity esters, and even a slight hoppiness.
The taste is pretty good. I'm really diggin it, but I'm not so sure it's exactly to style. It's fairly malty, with some bread and nuts going on. Also, slightly sweet. In contrast, it finishes slightly bitter, and the bitterness grows as you drink. There's a very small hint of citrus as well, which I didn't pick up until closer to the end.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and highly carbonated. It left a nice tingle in the mouth.
Drinkability is pretty high. The flavors were nice, and the alcohol was presumeably low. Just a nice California Common, and I'd drink it again.
