The Brewers Blend is the Big Leaf Porter with Coffee from what I understand. From notes:
Pours a dark brown, basically black from a short distance. It was presented to me with no head, but a thin collar of light brown head could be found around the edges of the glass.
The aroma is awesomne. It's basically all coffee. The malt profile comes off as sweet up front with a faint bit of chocolate. Note a whole lot going on outside of the coffee.
The taste is really nice. Big coffee notes punch you right in the face, and I can't get enough. The malting is a bit roasty, and kind of burnt with a bit of bitterness, both from the coffee and chocolate tones. I hope he makes this again, because it may just be my favorite thing he's brewed to date.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and lightly carbonated.
Drinkability is high. The big coffee component is very desireable and brings you back for more. Note a ton of balance, but the bitterness isn't overwhelming which helps. It's an awesome coffee porter, I'm just sad it's already gone!
