I had this during the first week it was on tap back in the early part of Spring.
It was poured into a goblet. Dark midnight opaque black with a brownish-mocha colored head.
Smelled heavily of chocolate and coffee. Slight hints of vanilla and hops, but mostly the roasted smells typical of many Imperial Stouts.
Gloriousness when it first hit my tongue. This one definitely lives up to my expectations. The maltiness cannot be overstated. The chocolate roasts combines with the twinge of hops and vanilla flavors to create a delicious party in my mouth.
Very smooth. This wasn't quite as thick as I was expecting, but the aftertaste definitely has the Imperial Stout features.
This is a wonderful beer. Gorgeous. Beautiful. If it wasn't served on nitrogen, I'd have growlers of this in my fridge every night. :(
