ABHatter dumping old beers on me and I decide to taste them before using them in cooking if they're bad.
Pours a nice medium-hued yellow with an initial inch head that died to half inch quickly and then settled itself into a nice collar with surprisingly nice lacing throughout the sample. Nice lively bubbles.
Smells like hops a little bit. and some basic malt and what I think is yeast as well. not much else going on there.
Taste is quite good for the style! Hops are bitter citrus, as well as some peppery-ginger like sting, and a dry, fruity finish.
Mouthfeel is great! Nice amount of carbonation and body in this.
Drinkability- I am suprised I enjoyed this. I kinda hate the style, but I decided to review it after enjoying it. Much better than other mainstays in the style (i.e. Stella, Heineken, Harp, Grolsch). Nothing earth shattering, just a good lager. wish someone handed me this instead of stella or heineken 10 years ago.

Pours a dark yellow color and has just a little head that fades after a minute or so, but some head does remain. Aroma is good and not to strong or overwhelming. Taste is pretty good, but not as flavorful after the first couple sips. Mouthfeel is great with just the perfect amount of carbonation and has a moderate bitter taste. Drinkability is high because although this isn't a great beer it is step above average and one that I'll pick up again sometime.

The beer poured crystal clear pale straw with a white frothy head that fell slowly to lace the glass.
The aroma was huge Saaz hops when first poured. Over time it became a light saaz bouquet and some spiciness along with a light malty impression.
The flavor was nicely accomplished with a spicy hop character and a light maltiness to accompany.
The finish contained that same minute spicy hop flavor which lasted into the aftertaste and was just dry. The body was medium and bigger than expected.
11 ounce bottle. The bottle says Spanish Premium Beer and Premium Export Lager. This beer was purchased at Green's in Columbia, SC so the ABV must be in the 6% range. A nice drinking beer, one I almost passed up, glad I did not.
Could not find the beer in the BA database, searched the web, no dice, but did find this site on the brewery...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
