this beer is not dead... it most definitely is alive... i will be going back in January to have many of these... plus the black they make

its a decent pils. The fact that it is brewed fresh makes it that much better. plus you can order it and have it shipped to your house if you live in japan. the only problem to drinking this beer is that you can see they spend more money on there wheat and black. this is just an average beer for this place

Brought back from japan by a friend... will be visiting so I must check out the brewery.

Very light gold colour, Beautiful carbonation storm in the glass that was awesome to watch.

Aroma was a bit light, slightly floral with a hint of smoke.(not ash)

Flavour was reasonably delicate, slightly bready with the same light smokiness in the background. Bitterness was there although it was not as assertive as some german pils, however it did balancethe beer out nicely.

A very drinkable pils, that whilst not setting new heights of excellence certainly was an admirable example of Japanese brewing.

This came in a nice-looking 1/2 liter bottle, with an artistic depiction of Mount Fuji on it. It's color was an unimpressive thin gold and the lack of head was equally a let-down.

The smell was a sweet malts and honey, quite good. The taste was not too exciting: some malt sweetness and nearly absent hops, light-bodied.

The mouthfeel was the plus for this beer, with a quick bite of bubbles followed by a soft fizzling out into sweet maltiness before extinction. Very drinkable. On the website, they show pictures of the one liter size glass for the "pils", and I could imagine hitting it after a day climb of Mt. Fuji. I think I'll do that.
