What do we got here? This came out something new last year, although the label “J-Craft” has been a round for quite a while. Judging by the look of the can, they must have been aiming for something more popular, although it seems like this is a one-off brew.
The thing is filtered, looks brownish amber and smells pretty decent - my wife said its aroma reminds her of peaches - I would say that it was the best part of the beer, as it smells quite fruity and hoppy. I think it also tastes quite nice, especially for a Japanese craft beer, might pass for an import for a short time. Unlike most of the Japanese IPAs that I had, this had a bit more presence and validity as an IPA. Had a decent malty body, piney hoppiness and a borderline medium intensity.
It was kind of okay to the end, I didn’t have anything against this beer - only that it wasn’t a real West Coast IPA - but it’s doing its best to be like one.
Oh yeah, and this is made by DHC, a Japanese beauty brand maker, and it’s brewed with water from Mt. Fuji. Huh?

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
