I'm not so sure that this is an American Brown Ale, its more likely a Belgian Dark Ale.
Pours chestnut browm, almost black, with a thin buddly head that quicly dissapears.
The aroma was burnt brown toast, roasted barley, baked chocolate chip cookies
The taste begins with a sweet chocolately malt, some toffee, some light coffee, and moves into a very burnt slightly bitter character. Burnt brown toast flavours, tastes like burnt cookies, very heavily roasted flavours in the finish,
Thin to medium bodied, with a pretty hard, medium carbonation

Pours a pretty dark brown that is still clear though hard to see through. Ruby hue. Tan head. Nose is sweet malts. Flavor is roasted coffee. Well. Almost like watered down coffee. Smoked tones are in there as well. It's good, but it seems to thin out a bit too quickly IMO. Feel is a bit thinner than I would like, though after it warms a bit, it seems to carry more body. Carbonation is fuller. Overall this is a pretty nice beer. A bit too thin in some parts at the start, but it'll do.
