Poured from 33cl bottle into tulip. Freshness date April 2010. Gigantic bubbles dissipate right away, leaving no lacing. Auburn/brown colored liquid.
Smells sweet, lemony, with a touch of sour aroma. Smells strongly of wort instead of beer.
The taste is malty with lots of sweetness. Bready and raisiny. There is a touch of bitterness, but not enough to balance the sweetness for me. Yeasty aftertaste.
The sweetness gives a very filling mouthfeel, almost like milk. Carbonation is very light.
As the beer warms, the worty aroma becomes more overwhelming and turns my stomach. I couldn't drink another.
