I bought a single of the new green-bottled offering from Rialto at Trader Joe's this evening. Let's check it out.
Appearance: The pour is a golden straw with a foamy white head that fades to a thin layer.
Smell: The nose is very weak. There's a hint of grassy hops, less doughy malts, and a trace amount of skunk.
Taste: The first sip was surprisingly good (Not 4+ good, but possibly 3.5 good) and one in every ten sips gets back to that level, but overall it's semi-hoppy and slightly skunky.
Mouthfeel: It's light-bodied and crisp, with generous carbonation.
Drinkability: It's not the worst attempt, but it's far from anything I would buy again.
