A: Honestly, the lights were too dim but the head was good.
S: Smells exactly like candy necklaces. Similar to sherbet I guess.
T: Good grief. Really strong marzipan. Somehow cider like. Some alcoholic solvent. Also tasting cherry flavoured Tunes and some bubblegum. Enough effervescence to complement the unique flavour.
O: One of the most unique beers I've ever had. Definitely a grower.

A - Pours a translucent brownish orange into my La Trappe chalice with literally no head but just a very thin ring of lacing. Looks almost like a barley wine with that color profile. (3.5)
S - The nose is sweet, slightly syrupy and fruity with notes of apricots and plums and perhaps a tad of caramel; pretty pleasant smelling (4)
T - Strong and slightly syrupy maple sugar sweetness and caramel upfront blended with pleasant notes of Belgian yeasts, meeting a fruity explosion in the middle with notes of apricots and plums which lasts towards a nice raisiny and malty finish (4)
M - Medium-bodied, but may be perceived thicker due to the sweetness, with moderate carbonation and a slighty syrupy texture (3.5)
D - This ale is flavorful but slightly too sweet, perhaps; it's 8.5% ABV is fairly well hidden though it does exhibit barley wine characteristics which gives me a feel that it is a cross between a Belgian blond and a light barley wine; very interesting. (3.5)
