Beer has a light golden color with a light head and decent carbonation. The aroma is grainy with a hint of citrus. The taste was smooth and refreshing. The slight tinge of bitterness finishes the clean feel. This beer is very drinkable and a good beer when planning on having a few.
This is my regular brew when in the Rhienland-Falz region in Germany

Long-time favourite, since I'm from the area where the brewery resided. Been drinking this particular Pilsner for MANY years, and never got tired of it.
Regrettably, the Bischoff family has decided to close production down- so no more Bischoff Pils :(

From the bottle, it pours a golden color with a really nice head that lasts a while, but visibly reduces as you watch it. Few bubbles replenish. Hops in the nose. ..Hops in the mouth as well. Refreshing summer beverage!

The body is thin, the color is light yellow and the the white head is highly carbonated. Smells a little grainy with a nice hint of lemony hops. Tastes bitter & crisp as expected, but with a slight harsh metallic aftertaste. Reminds me of Radeberger, but not near as good IMHO.

International Green Week, Berlin 2012: our second day and Hall 20 is full of goodies, products from Niederschen, Bremen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Thuringen, Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz all competing with each other. I’m drawn to a bar selling this beer: can’t remember why though!
0.3 Litre draft glass of a light golden Pilsner, usual clean and bright looks; regular thin snowy white head that didn’t stay too long.
Normal un-smelling Pilsner; gets my standard score of 3 for that.
Dry and obviously refreshing (like all Pilsners?) this had a hop bitterness and a slight metallic twang initially, which I’m pleased to say disappeared although I thought the body harsh rather than crisp.
Difficult to quantify the whole tasting: the beer grew on me, but has a flaw in its make-up: the brewing process or the main ingredient (water) doesn’t sit right somehow.

Thin white head on a very light straw colored body with a little lacing. The aroma is very light with mostly grain and light malts. Flavor is light musty hops, grain and light malts. Crisp and smooth. Light bodies and high carbonation. Very drinkable but not very memorable.

Had this at the Christkindl Market in Chicago from the tap.
Appearance is light gold, with a 1/2 inch head. Quite carbonated. Crisp taste, slightly hoppier than I expected (which is good).
Good example of a pilsener...quite flavorful for this type of beer, and was enjoyable. Very sessionable.

It is not uncommon for a German brewery to push out a regular pilsner and then a premium pilsner. Typially the premium pils has more of a lemon drop taste to it, rather than a husky and grainy flavor such as this pilsner.
Bischoff Pils does have aromas of lemon, but the freshly mown hay fragrances are more pronounced.
This pours quickly from a half liter bottle, and only produces about a finger and a half thick, bright white head. It's very clean and gold in color.
It tastes quite bitter and grainy. There are still lemony characteristics here too. It has a vegetable like finish.
Overall this feels very clean and well balanced. It's a little on the bitter side, but that's what I like about a good pilsner.
