i hope ska keeps putting out tons of new beer, because both this and the white ipa with juniper were fantastic. this is super light, citrusy hopped pale ale without much bitterness. a great beer for spring and summer, and i would have called it their contribution the the session hop game, but then they just did the rudie, so i guess this stays in the pale category. orange tinted in color, nice and frothy, and smelling like fresh oranges. the hops have a real orange zest character to them, a little oily, but the beer is light and clean on the tongue. perhaps not the most complex beer out there, but i think its a great release from ska, who should continue to break out these one offs a little more frequently.

The label states this is the official beer for the 2014 Durango Film Festival. It also uses Galaxy and El Dorado hops.
Poured a very clear yet dark toned gold color with a very dense, creamy head (4.0). Very fruity aroma; melon and berries with a faint wisp of cereal grain deep in the background (3.9). Initial taste sensation of kiwi; big yet well-mannered hop bitterness almost from the get go and lingering well past the sip (3.9). Medium-light body; crisp and dry (3.75).
The hop varieties used certainly emphasize their fruit-like qualities and deliver a nice overall bitterness to this low ABV pale ale. It seems a little watery at times and the malt base is pretty much sitting on the sidelines as far as the flavor goes, yet the taste experience is quite pleasant and satisfying.
