GABF Weekend '08: Enjoyed at the Wynkoop Brewer's Reception.
A tremendously fresh, crisp, clean IPA that begins with a solid copper/golden hue and a light, airy head formation that laced and retained very well. Very fresh aromas of citrus fruits (from Cascade hops), pine, and a hint of lemongrass. Crisp, cracker-like maltiness soon to follow with low-lying caramel malt sweetness and a subtle bready note. Wet hops dominate the flavors, but never with any pungent or agressive bite or unnecessary bitterness in the mouthfeel. The hops deliver taste on top of taste from sip to finish. Dry in the end with a mouthwatering minty note. A very nice, drinkable beer that never offends.

This is Ska's fresh hop beer offering
Pours caramel with 3 fingers of tan head. Superior lacing & good head retention
S: Leafy & herbal hops, wet hopped with Colorado grown Cascades hops, it shows; some breadyness
T: Citric hops, a bit of breadyness, & a touch of dryness up front. Leafy hops, more dryness, citrus hops & caramel as this warms. Finishes leafy & piney, with slight fruittyness & grapefruit
MF: Juicy with moderate carbonation , plus medium body
Drinks pretty easy, a nice deal for a fairly decent fresh hop beer @ $5.00 a bomber
