Had on tap at the KC Craft Beer Fest.

Pours jet black, with a little head and no lacing. The smell is a little too faint, but it reminds me of licorice, dark fruit, molasses, and alcohol.

It tastes extremely sweet, almost like a dessert wine. Dark fruits - plums mainly - are my first taste sensation. But there's also hints of licorice and of alcohol. Although I don't know the ABV, you get the feeling this beer isn't messing around.

Medium bodied, reminding me again of a dessert wine. Maybe with the consistency of a heavy port.

I would have it again for dessert. Not sure if I'd have it again otherwise, but I'm just not that into high ABV beers that taste this sweet. To each his own.
