Draft at the pub
Creamy frothy head good retention, hazy pale color
Nose herbal earthy floral hops, mild sweet malt, little sweet toasted malt and caramel notes, hint fruity
Taste starts with herbal earthy hops, sweet toasted reddish malt, biscuity, little caramel, cereal grainy bread crust, some fruity notes, starting with med low bitterness then cranking to med high bitterness spicy hop finish
Mouth is med bod, a touch creamy, med to higher small bubble carb
Overall solid

Always loved this one, on draft for forever at the superfine Eagle Brook Saloon. And not only for it's name. Ales here are brewed by Ipswich. Imbibed two pints, and it really is a nice balanced ale. The first ale featured here, and I don't know that Ipswich ever offered an ESB, or this recipe. Eagle Brook is a fantastic place, a western-style bar with great beer. Worth the trip.
